An e-roadbook in the form of an app.

With our Roadbook for Discovery we introduce another way of guided navigation: we use an app containing the itinerary with instructions on which direction to take, points of interest, things to see, where to stay and much more. As soon as you are on the track, the app will zoom in, show you where you are and you can start driving.

It works off-line, with everything you need downloaded into the app.

New way of navigating

You will be guided on the way, if necessary in unclear situations with a picture and an arrow. If there is a stretch which we recommend you need to check before you drive it, the app will tell you so. See the following pictures:

Concentrate on where you are

This a very easy and convenient way to navigate, allowing you to concentrate on where you are rather than on where you have to go. You can use it if you’re alone in the car and have to do both the driving and the navigating. Or your co-driver can tell you what to do – and indeed if you have your family or friends in the car, they can all have the app on their smartphone or tablet and keep track of what’s going on.

Currently available roadbook

Right now we have our first roadbook available in the app. It is a trip through central France, starting in the Chèr region and continuing south into the Auvergne. It is suitable for SUVs (i.e. four-wheel driven cars without low-rang gearbox and on regular road tyres), yet interesting to drive for those with a more off-road biased vehicle.

This year we will add at least two more trips, one through the Pyrenees and one through Basque Country and Navarra.

More information

The following PowerPoint slides, in PDF format, will give you a lot more information about what you can expect from the Roadbook for Discovery

Ordering a Roadbook for Discovery

If you want to order an e-roadbook, do the following:
