Cars and travelling – I love it. It gets better still if you can do it with a group of like-minded people. That’s why I enjoy guiding a tour so much.
When you’re underway with me, we tend to do things that are not in the programme. I call these experiments: we take a track that looks interesting, is not a dead end according to the map, and which I don’t know yet myself. This often results in the best experiences. And sometime we have to continue our way in the opposite direction. No matter, we’ve had fun.
For me that’s the essence, having fun, your experiences, discovering something, enjoying where you are, having a sense of freedom. I do everything I can to give you that.
José’s connection with the outdoors and off-road driving began early in his childhood. Over of the years, his passion for nature and driving became increasingly bigger. Having started as a simple enthusiast he became a member of clubs both in Portugal and the UK, and a few years ago he became the correspondent of “Land Rover Owner International” magazine in Portugal.
Over the years José acquired specialized training and skills, as an advanced driver in Portugal and Spain and as an instructor with Land Rover Experience in the UK. He holds a First Aid certificate awarded by St. John’s Ambulance in England.
José has travelled in many parts of the world, doing the things he likes most: travelling, enjoying the wonders of nature and contacting new people. Being so lucky to live in a wonderful country such as Portugal, he is continually looking for new tracks and magical places to discover the best and most authentic things the country has to offer.
Carles has always been involved with premium automotive brands: he has been Porsche Spain Sports Driving School manager; Porsche factory driver; Jaguar pro driver; Bentley off-road expert and Landrover instructor. He has vast experience in off-road and sports driving worldwide, successfully leading many events and adventures.
He loves where he lives and is passionate about making his clients experience the pleasure of pure off road driving, either with 4×4 cars or quad bikes, while discovering the delights of Catalonia and the Pyrenees. His reliability, perfectionism and honesty combine to deliver quality work.
Hans has been an organisational consultant and trainer for many years. After having travelled in a campervan for more than 25 years, he discovered in 2013 that you can actually sleep in a Defender and can reach far more remote places. He bought himself one and two months later travelled right through Iceland. Spain, Morocco and Scandinavia followed. In early 2016 he got the opportunity to become a guide on 4×4 tours, which he grabbed at once. He now enjoys the combination of a variety of occupations.
Hans has been certified by the Red Cross to provide first aid.
